Hey! I'm Meggie Kay!
After graduating from Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University) with a BFA in New Media, I worked in e-learning development, email marketing and e-commerce in Canada and New Zealand.

Feeling frustrated in a corporate environment, I decided to teach English in Japan while looking for inspiration on what to do next. While on a trip to Mongolia, I had a magical moment in the Gobi Desert. This remote, awe-inspiring environment is a special place and places like it need to be protected. I began searching for a way to combine my creative skills with conservation.

I completed a graduate certificate in Environmental Visual Communication from Fleming College in 2022. I interned with Ocean School, a joint project from Dalhousie University and the National Film Board of Canada, as part of the certificate before joining Ocean Tracking Network as a Creative Communications Specialist.

My work focuses on impact stories surrounding ocean sciences and conservation. Primarily working with video and photo, I also regularly design documents/materials for conferences, websites, and public outreach.
